The Pungro Town Students Union (PTSU) organized a Clean Election Campaign rally on March 28 at Traffic Point Pungro town, with EAC Pungro, Wiridin as the resource person.

Speaking at the program, Wiridin spoke about the ‘One man one vote’ policy, and said that a single vote can change the world. He also discouraged proxy voting which, he said, has been an illegal practice which should be done away with beginning this election.

Wiridin also encouraged the people to vote for the right and eligible candidate, especially because they live in a rural and remote area where developmental activities are much needed.

The program was moderated by literary secretary PTSU, Asanla.

In his key note address, Pungro Town Students Union executive chairman, Throngso, emphasized on the importance of adult franchise.

The program concluded with a word of gratitude from PT, GMS Pungro Town, Lenpithong. The program was attended by the all students of Pungro town, members of the public, officials from the Public Forum Pungro Sub- Division, GBs’ Union and leaders from various organizations.
