CM holds video conference with DCs, SPs, CMOs

State chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, Friday held a meeting through video conferencing with all the deputy commissioners, superintendents of police and the chief medical officers to review the implementation of the lockdown measures and the state of preparedness for combating COVID-19. 

At the meeting, the districts gave a detailed briefing of their preparedness and also mentioned about the various issues pertaining to their districts. 

The chief minister complemented everyone for the efforts made till now and advised for continued vigil on the situation and more interventions by the officers for further enhancing the level of preparation. 

Meanwhile, the chief minister, in a tweet, said he had interaction with the officials of the multi-department Chief Secretary’s war room on COVID-19 where integrated information system is managed, analysed and decisions taken on prevention and management of Covid-19 in Nagaland. He expressed gratitude to everyone for their dedication and hard work.

On Friday, the chief minister also visited Chedema and the new site for quarantine centre at K. Badze along with legislators in-charge of Kohima for Covid-19 measures. 

Appreciating the efforts of the frontline workers, Rio said he took note of their feedback, adding that they were urged to practice universal safety measures.
