CM, others condole demise of Kuotsu

 Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio expressed pained at the demise of Satuo Kuotsu.

In a condolence message, Rio said late Kuotsu was a well-known personality and served the society in various capacities, which included leadership in civil society organisations, sports associations and Kohima Town Committee.

Rio said late Kuotsu was a family friend and worked closely with his father late Goulhoulie Rio, adding that his family we will remain indebted to him for his fatherly advice and guidance. 

Rio described late Koutsu as a person who always had sincere concern for the welfare of the public and he was always available for any responsibility that arose to serve the people. 

He has left behind a rich legacy in various fields and the society will miss the absence of an elderly person especially the wisdom and guidance he imparted during these crucial times, Rio added.

Rio, along with his family, conveyed deepest condolences to bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to let the departed soul rest in peace.

MP (RS): Rajya Sabha MP, KG Kenye also expressed deep pain at the demise of late Satuo Kuotsu. 

In a condolence message, Kenye said late Satuo was a very good example of an honest successful businessman among the older generation of the Nagas which had left legacy to the new generation entrepreneurs to follow his footstep. 

As a social worker, he had immensely contributed his selfless services to the people in different capacities, Kenye said. He was alsi a pioneer and renowned sportsman, an upright and straight forward leader and a good Christian father. 

On his departure, Kenye said Nagas have lost a peace loving and an honest prominent senior citizen, whom Nagas were always proud of. 

Kenye, along with his family members, conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

AYO: Expressing deep pain over the demise of Satuo Kuotsu, Angami Youth Organization (AYO) said the Angami community has lost an invaluable gentleman and a fatherly figure, whose good deeds will continue to carry forth his legacy.

AYO said late Kuotsu was amongst the most prominent senior citizen of the Angami community who contributed immensely from his early years till his passing away.

He has donned many roles as a staunch leader to serve the people and was equally respected and revered by all, AYO said, adding his dedication and good demeanour has earned him success, admiration and respect from all sections.

Besides being a businessman, contractor, sportsman and a politician, he was also a philanthropist whose kindness and good works will always be remembered, AYO said.

AYO conveyed condolences to the family members and prayed to Almighty God to grant comfort and solace, and for the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

NOA: Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) mourned the demise of Satuo Koutsu. NOA secretary general, Abu Metha said that late Kuotsu was a champion wrestler who won numerous laurels and later served as sports administrator with distinction. 

He held various posts and responsibilities in the field of sports including the president of the Nagaland Wrestling Association and treasurer of the Nagaland Olympic Association. 

He exemplified discipline and true sportsmanship, and as a sport administrators he made committed efforts towards upliftment of sports and promotion of sportspersons, NOA stated. 

NOA said that all affiliated members of the association places on record their sincere appreciation to late Kuotsu for the contributions and sacrifices made in the interest of sports and games. Present and future generations will look up to him as a role model, NOA added.
