CMOs of Zunheboto, Peren hold review meetings

Chief Medical Office (CMO) Zunheboto district and CMP Peren district held review meetings at Conference Hall, District Hospital, Zunheboto and at the Conference Hall of CMO New Headquarters, Peren respectively.

A press release by the CMO Zunheboto stated that the district quarterly review meeting held on May 9 was attended by the CMO, deputy  CMO,DPO (RCH & UIP), SMO- district hospital, SMI- NVBDCP, SMO Aghunato CHC, MO in-charge, DPM, DCM,BPM’s, ASHA Co-ordinators, RBSK, MMU, IDSP, RNTCP, ASHA Co-ordinators and NCD staffs.

In a keynote address, CMO Zunheboto, Dr. C.W. Tungoe, asserted the importance of the quarterly review meeting for disseminating information and to update and communicate with one another. 

He also discussed issues like irregularities of staff, maintenance and facilities provided in the health units also asked all medical officers and staff to be accountable.

MO in-charge and BPMs gave a power point presentation on the performance of the blocks for the last quarter under their respective blocks. The presentation indicated various aspects of activities as well the targets and health indicators.

District Facilitator, NHP, Ajanuo Natso, highlighted the ongoing activities and programmes of Nagaland health project undertaken in Zunheboto district.

Deputy CMO, Zunheboto, Dr. K. Akaho Sema, motivated the participants to work with sincerity, competitive spirit and dedication. He also told the participants to come up with fresh inputs, innovations and good practices undertaken in their respective blocks.

Peren: CMO Peren district held its district review meeting on May 7 under the chairmanship of its CMO, Dr. Denis Hangsing, who acknowledged the medical officers and staff for their support and service during the recently held Lok Sabha election.

A press release by CMO Peren stated that Dr. Denis asked all the health workers to give prior information through proper channel to the CMO office on any issues related to the medical department.

 He also urged concerned health workers to maintain professional coordination and cautioned that action would be taken against those who abstain from work. The CMO also spoke about the bio waste management’s formats that needed to be filled up by the health units. 

DPO NVBDCP, Dr Kevi Meyase, highlighted the gathering on vector borne activities in the district and also explained and demonstrated about the malaria test kit. 

DPM, Elizabeth, Dr DPO UIP/RCH, Nukshisangla and MO Athibung PHC, Dr. Thangmang, also spoke in the meeting. 

The meeting was attended by the district programme officers, medical officers and health workers from all the health centres, district and block programme management unit staff, NHM.
