Co-ordination meeting of DTF on BBBP

Co-ordination meeting of district task force (DTF) to discuss modalities for implementation of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP)’ 2019-20, was held at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner, Wokha on November 16.

According to DIPR report, ADC, Wokha, Mhathung Tsanglao, who chaired the meeting requested all line departments to prepare and submit the action plan to be taken up from January to March 2019. He also urged them to put more efforts for the successful implementation of the programme (BBBP). He reviewed and discussed the various programmes conducted during the past months and suggested to make improvements where shortfalls were detected.

ADC also stated that activities for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao will be focused more at the block level/grass root level and requested all line departments to converge plans and extend fullest co-operation.

SDO (C), Wokha Ajit Kumar Verma, also appealed to the department of education to take active part and give more effort and work for the welfare of the girl child. He asked them to submit detail list of girls drop out students and list of meritorious students.

During the meeting upcoming activities to be taken up during the month of November and December 2019 like, awareness on PC & PNDT Act, sensitization at Wozhuro range, Humtso village, Chukitong village, Meriyan village, 16 days activities kick off walkathon, medical camp at Sungro block and awareness on empowering persons with disabilities. Financial status for the first instalment 2019-20 was also deliberated during the meeting.
