Colony council seizes and destroys liquor bottles

Enforcing the Nagaland Liquor Prohibition Act, Duncan Bosti Council (DBC) Dimapur conducted check on sale of illegal liquor in the colony and seized a number assorted liquor bottles worth Rs. 15 thousand at wholesale rate. 

According to council, the checking was conducted on January 20, which was informed Tuesday, at the council community hall. The council also summoned the land owners and the tenants, whereby they were dealt as per the constitution of the council Art XV general regulations. 

Further, the colony council strongly warned the residents that anyone found selling liquor in the jurisdiction of the colony will be dealt accordingly as per the law of the council. 

The council also assured that they will continue to check such menace and will make sure to eradicate mushrooming of the same within its jurisdiction.

The seized items were dumped by pouring them out at council community hall in the presence various Duncan Bosti organizations.
