Post Mortem

Come one, come all

Elections have come and gone. Now we await the results which will manifest in a few weeks time. They say, the media is bought and sold; on this aspect I offer no comment. However, one cannot out of sheer inability be oblivious to the mindless cacophony, especially in the electronic media. It would seem that everyone is taking sides, and that we have stooges of every shape and size; even literally speaking! It would again seem that the powerful media in all the cacophony would see to it that the ringing that remains in our ears after all the din has died down will decide who attains the 'gaadi' in Delhi. In other words the one who is able to shout down or shut the other is the winner! My plea on this aspect is to let reason prevail. Let discernment prevail! Most politicians are in it for the money, for the glory and for the power.

And, of course the women! So my plea is this that if we detect even a flicker of sincerity, a sliver of desire for public service, a glimmer of hope for the nation then let it be. By let it be, I mean-  cast your voice for that person. No  it is not a misprint or an error, inadverdant or otherwise. I deliberately mean 'voice' for as far as our state is concerned our vote will come only after five years. There are many right thinking Naga people who can as we travel and as we mingle influence the ebb and flow of the national traffic. So all the best!
