Condolence messages on demise of Kaka D Iralu

Several organisations and people from all walks of life have send condolences on the passing of Kaka D. Iralu, Naga activist and political commentator. Iralu, who passed away on the night of April 9 after a prolonged ailment, was laid to rest at Medziphema on April 10.

Poumai Hoho Nagaland: Poumai Hoho Nagaland (PHN) has expressed shock and sadness over the demise of Kaka D. Iralu on April 9 at Dimapur. 

In a condolence note issued by PHN has described late Kaka Iralu, as a well-known Naga patriotic writer and a philosopher. It stated that his demise has created a big vacuum for the Naga-family and find it difficult to fill up. “He has written books on struggle for the cause of Naga nation and many thought provoking articles for the Naga which will leave inspiration for the Nagas generations to come”, The Hoho stated. 

The Hoho conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace. 

Mao Hoho Nagaland: Mao Hoho Nagaland has expressed deep pain over the untimely demise of Kaka D. Iralu at Dimapur. 

A condolence note from Mao Hoho Nagaland general secretary, S. Hepuni John has described late Kaka as one who experienced the harsh reality of Naga nationalism even in childhood; he was the Naga chronicler who inscribed in his books incidents and events, with the very people and the very places, rendering them indelible before the world. His revisits, mostly in his very person, were both to verify and to relive the events which would otherwise have dimmed with time. 

In his many articles, the Hoho said that Kaka provoked the readers into delineating Naga nationalism from the mundane life of outward peace Nagas have been sliding into.  

The Hoho is saddened by the inability to pay its last respect to his mortal remains due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it truly mourned the death of such a son of the land, who will be greatly missed by the Naga people.

In this time of sorrow and pain, the Hoho reach out in solidarity to the bereaved family, his clan and to Khonoma and prayed that they be granted solace and strength to bear the irreparable loss. It further prayed for the noble soul to rest in peace. 

AAGBA: All Angami Gaon Bura Association (AAGBA) has expressed deep sadness over the untimely demise of late Kaka D. Iralu, a prominent author and true voice of the Naga sovereignty movement. 

In a condolence message, AAGBA said late Kaka was a brave man, selfless and the true colour of our Naga sovereignty. It also prayed to God Almighty to provide peace and comfort to the bereaved family and for the departed soul to rest in peace. 

AYO: Angami Youth Organization (AYO) has paid its unrivalled tribute to Lt. Kaka D. Iralu, a man who had lived by his vision. APO described late Kaka as a true patriot was undeterred by any circumstance and chose to take the road “less travelled” with a mission of free Naga Nation. APO said late Kaka has left behind a legacy for the young generation to tread on.

While mourning the demise, APO also thanked late Kaka for dedicating his life to the Naga movement and for immortalizing the history of the Nagas through his writings. 

APO has also conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and fervently prayed that God grant solace to them at this time of pain and sorrow. 

DDGIF: Dimapur District Gorkha Indigenous Forum (DDGIF) has expressed deep anguish, shock and sorrow at the untimely demise of Kaka D Iralu. The forum described late Kaka as a true Naga nationalist, a true patriot and a man of conviction. 

DDGIF has also prayed to the Almighty to grant solace to the bereaved family and for the departed soul to rest in peace.

DPON: Dimasa Public Organisation Nagaland (DPON) has expressed deep pain at the demise of late Kaka D Iralu, a prominent writer, Naga nationalist, intellect and a true patriot. DPON while conveying condolences to the bereaved family, prayed to God to grant them peace and comfort and the rest to the departed soul.

The Naga Rising: The Naga Rising has expressed grief on learning the passing away of its elder patriot Kaka D. Iralu. 

In a condolence message by The Naga Rising stated has described late Kaka D Iralu as a man of deep conviction for their land and their freedom and stated that they have lost a voice for the Naga struggle. “Kaka kept the idea of Naga nation alive through his writings till the last and that will continue to motivate us and the generations to come”, it added. 

The release also stated that late Kaka has left a deep legacy that they should not compromise the idea of Naga nation. Till his last breath, Kaka upheld the sovereignty of the Naga ancestral homeland, symbolized by the rainbow and the star flag as the sign of the Naga nation. 

The Naga Rising expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty God gives comfort, peace and strength during this difficult timew and further prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
