 NSCN (K) mourns Lt. Col. Dinanath Chauhan: NSCN (K) has mourned the death of Lt. Col. Dinanath Chauhan father of Lt. Gen. Shokin Chauhan, chairman CFMG/CFSB who passed away on April 11 at Jakhama Military Hospital.

In a condolence message, NSCN (K), through its MIP, said late Dinanath was a man of vision and a great leader who had served the people wholeheartedly.
Further, NSCN (K) extended its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
NSCN (I-M) mourns Lt. Col. Dinanath and Nitozu Achumi: NSCN (I-M) has expressed its deepest sympathy for the bereaved family of late Lt. Col. Dinanath. In a condolence message, NSCN (I-M) MIP stated that it understood the pain Lt. Gen. Shokin Chauhan has to go through having lost a father who has been a guiding spirit in his profession. It further conveyed prayers for God to grant him strength and courage to withstand this loss.
NSCN (I-M), in another condolence note, expressed sadness on learning of the demise of Nitozu Achumi (leacy), Union Territory, son of Kihevi Achumi from Niu Land Town, after a prolonged illness on April 11.
NSCN (I-M) stated that he joined Naga National Service in 1993 and rendered selfless service for the Naga cause. Offering its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, it also conveyed prayers for God to grant them strength and courage to withstand this hour of grief and sorrow. “The Naga nation acknowledged his service and his name shall be recorded in the pages of Naga history” it stated and conveyed further wishes for the departed soul to rest in peace.
