Coordination meetings for JSA held in Longleng

In connection with Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA), coordination meetings of the line departments with the visiting central team were held on from July 15 to 16 at DC’s conference hall, Longleng. 

According to DIPR report, the two central team Minga Sherpa and Dharan along with the district administration and HoDs of the line departments also visited Hukphang and Lingtak villages.  During the field visits projects related to water shed management, irrigations, ponds, traditional wells were shown to the central team. They also held a meeting with the village council members and public to have better knowledge of water cycle in their respective villages and also to learn the grievance faced by the general mass.  

On July 16 another coordination meeting of JAS was conducted at DC’s conference hall, Longleng under the chairmanship of the DC Longleng John Tsulise Sangtam. The nodal officer, JSA Vineet Joshei highlighted about the JSA projects and encouraged the officers to work harder to cater to the needs of the people. He spoke about the IWMP projects and the importance of water conservation and how it can rejuvenate the existing ponds & wells or structure and also to frame a plan for proper implementation of the projects. DPO Land Resource department, Longleng presented the departmental activities through powerpoint presentation.
