Covid-19 cases near 30k mark; death toll at 937

Total number of novel coronavirus cases in the country rose to 29,974 Tuesday after adding 1,594 fresh Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours, according to the latest Ministry of Health and Family Welfare data. In addition to that, the death toll also increased by 51 to 937, it said.

Global tally surpasses 3 million: Globally, the novel coroanvirus cases have surpassed 3 million count while the death toll has crossed 212,0000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University Data.

Nagaland: Results of 19 awaited

State Health & Family Welfare department till date had sent 639 (cumulative) COVID-19 suspected samples for testing, including 10 samples sent on April 28. The result of 620 have so far reported negative while results of 19 were awaited, it added. HW&W stated that 38 persons were under facility quarantine.

Meanwhile, all the District Hospitals have been advised to continue delivery of selected services such as OPD and other day care services till such time COVID-19 related patients were admitted in the Hospital.
