Nursing staff of COVID-19 Hospital Dimapur Wednesday reportedly withdrew the complaints concerning lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

In a letter addressed to the principal director health and family welfare (H&FW), COVID-19 Hospital Dimapur Medical Superintendent, Dr. Z Kheshito Zhimo and Nursing superintendent Radile Mero said that on receiving the complaints, the matter was immediately discussed with the nursing superintendent and assistant nursing superintendent and accordingly the nurses have withdrawn their complaint and the issue has been settled and resolved amicably.

It may be mentioned that the nurses lodged complaint with the Medical Superintendent (MS) Dimapur threatening not to assist or attend any suspected COVID-19 cases without proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

They also demanded that laboratory technician should be detailed for assisting the pathologist since the nurses alone were finding difficult to cover all the fields of duties.
