CoVS&AH Jalukie conducts animal health camp

College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CoVSc&AH), Jalukie organised one day free “animal health-cum-vaccination camp” in collaboration with 36th Assam Rifles, at New Puilwa village on December 16. 

A press release by CoVSc&AH Jalukie, stated that, animal health camp was co-ordinator by assoc. professor and head, Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Gunjan Das. Team consisted of Dr. M.G. Jayathangaraj, Dr. Tukheswar, Dr. Sashitola, Dr. Neithonu Kuotso, Dr. Lalchawimawia Ralte, Dr. Laltlankimi, Dr. Lalsangpuii and Kekhriesielie. A total of 363 animals were treated and vaccinated, while awareness pamphlets on African swine fever in local dialect were also distributed. Asst. professor, livestock production management, Dr. Imtiwati thanked the dean, CoVSc. & AH, Jalukie, Dr. A. K. Sangwan for organizing the programme for the benefit of rural farmers as well as companion animals. 

Medical unit of 36th Assam Rifles, Jalukie also conducted human health camp coordinated by Major Sourabh and attended by Asst. Commandant Dr. O. Sushil Singh and team. More than 120 people were treated of various ailments.
