CSU condemns March 16 incident

Chi Students’ Union (CSU), Mon district has vehemently condemned the March 16 incident where two individuals had allegedly molested a minor girl.

In a press note, Chi Students’ Union president C. Pangkhah and action secretary B. Honshong claimed that the duo, Pang-e and Loipong from Tanhai village were caught red handed by Chi Students’ Union volunteers allegedly molesting the minor girl in view of passersby.

After questioning and a bond agreement was signed, the two were released by the union on March 17.

Condemning the uncivilized act, Chi Students’ Union also warned of stern action against any individual/s found indulging in any anti-social activities within its jurisdiction, defaming and tarnishing the good image of the village. 

Meanwhile, the union further wished speedy recovery to the victim from her physical and mental trauma.
