CVO Zunheboto distributes poultry birds at Sukomi village

The CVO Zunheboto has reported that under the National Livestock Mission 2017-18 on Innovative Poultry Productivity Project (IPPP), the department of A.H. & Veterinary Services has distributed one month old LIT birds with subsidy to 50 selected beneficiaries of Sukomi village under Akuhaito block, Zunheboto district on July 17.
A press release by CVO Zunheboto stated that during the distribution program, the CVO also gave certain guidelines and advised and encouraged the farmers. He said that henceforth, with the department’s assistance and initiation to bring poultry birds to the village, they should try to maintain an uninterrupted rearing system chain to meet their immediate requirements in terms of finance and/or meat products. He further expressed hope that the villagers could find sustenance with special reference to poultry farming in the village.
Members of the council, the chairman and gaon boras expressed gratitude and profound happiness to the government of Nagaland, the director and  all the officials involved, for bringing “such an unexpected mega assistance” to the poor people living in the village. They wished all the officials every success and said they hoped to receive more of such help for the village in the future.
