Cyclone Fani: NSDMA issues weather update

Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has informed that Cyclone Fani, after making a devastating landfall in the costal Odisha on Friday, was moving towards North-Northeast. 

In a press release, Johnny Ruangmei, OSD to government of Nagaland, said that with the remnants of Cyclone Fani, rains were expected to intensify significantly over Northeast India. For Nagaland, NSDMA has issued following rainfall status:

On May 3, 2019, rains would start picking up pace by late night and could see some moderate rains during the night.

On May 4 and 5, 2019, moderate to heavy rains were likely and activities would be confined to later parts of the day. The rains would drop the day temperatures well below the normal.

From May 6, 2019 onwards, weather would start clearing up with one or two spells of rain that too during the later parts of the day.
