Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) has expressed serious concerns on infiltration of illegal immigrant after the release of NRC list in Assam. Through a meeting held on August 4, CYO has requested the district administration and police to keep strict vigil at all check gates and sensitive entry locations into Nagaland.

A press release by CYO president, Neizelie Keditsu added that a huge number of infiltrators who had not registered in the NRC have illegally entered and taken shelter citing “humanitarian ground(s).”

The release further said that the CYO strongly objects to anyone who adopts or gives shelter to any illegal Bangladeshi immigrant (IBI) and will take stern action against defaulters.

It added that it was ready to depute its volunteers whenever they are called to assist the district administration and police within its jurisdiction.

The CYO also extended its full support for the ongoing four lane construction, and asked the company, firm, contractors to fulfil all specifications laid down in four lane road construction guidelines.
