D block youth organization Kohima  celebrated its first youth day with the theme “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10) held at D block panchayat hall Kohima  on September 28.

Chairman D block Panchayat Kevisatuo Yhome in his address expressed happiness for organizing the first youth day of the colony and opined that in the long run it would bring positive result for the youth and colony as well. He advised the youth members to be united and work together as one family. He reminded the youth members that they were the backbone of the colony and encouraged them to cooperate and contribute something good for the colony residents. Panchayat chairman also inaugurated the colony youth’s logo and motto (unite & grow) on the occasion.

GB, D block Ruokuovilhou Belho in his address encouraged the youth members to continue the same celebration in the coming years. He recalled that the former colony GB late Luo-u Kire had donated the land for the government primary school in the colony and donated plot for D block community hall, for which he urged the gathering to remember such generous donor and his family in the days to come.

The first D’ block youth president Keduovilie Linyü in his address reminded the gathering  on how he and his team struggled in the initial stage for the youth organization of the colony. He advised the youth members to work together with unity for the welfare of the colony youth and colony resident as well.

The programme was chaired by Rosy, invocation by president Women Organisation D’ Block, Avino and welcome address by DBYO Keneilhousa Kire, special songs were presented by Inaliki Shohe and Litna Shohe and Vizokhotuo Vizo and friends,  general secretary DBYO Melvin Yhome gave secretary report of 2018-19,  while vote thanks proposed by treasurer DBYO Yampi Patton.
