A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) and Emporium Skill Institute (ESI) on August 23.

According to DIPR, the MoU is regarding providing placement linked skill developing training for unemployed Ao youth in the international, domestic aviation and hospitality sectors.

During a program held at DABA office, Dimapur, associate pastor, DABA, Rev. Lima Jamir said that the initiative was done under the Member Care Ministry of DABA which has also been imparting short term skill development training in various fields to youth of DABA church for the last four years. Such an initiative, he said, was a humble contribution to society, particularly to its church members, towards curbing the unemployment problem. 

Jamir said the church would be sponsoring 30 interested youth of DABA in the first batch to undergo training at the Emporium Skill Training Institute, Dimapur.

Operation manager, Emporium Institute, Anirban Mukherjee gave a brief report of the institute. According to Mukherjee, the Emporium Skill Training Institute is a leading training institute under the ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, National Skill Development Cooperation, Aviation and Aerospace sector skill council, Government of India. 

He said that the institute was also working with the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland as a training partner for the last six years.

Interested candidates will be jointly screened by DABA and ESI, and the selected youth will be trained for cabin crew/air hostesses, airport management, five star hotel management & cruise line management job roles, for a period of three months.
