Daddysroad App, a vehicle safety app was formally launched by Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo, IPS, on February 29, here at Tenyimi Complex, Dimapur.

The programme was organised by Tenyimi Students Union Dimapur (TSUD).

Addressing the gathering, Tetseo stated that there was a serious concern regarding traffic, especially in Dimapur and that police alone cannot handle the situation alone. He maintained that citizen partnership was very much needed to abstain from traffic problems.

If citizens and traffic personals understand and comply with each other, traffic jams would not be a very big scenario in Dimapur, he opined.

He also encouraged the NGOs for their suggestions and cooperation to tackle the problems asserting that police alone cannot handle everything on its own.

He also urged the app developers not to utilize the app in a business minded motive, but for the betterment and welfare of the people.

President, Daddysroad Nagaland, C Kezo, while demonstrating the app, said that the app could be used in contacting vehicle owners in times of emergencies, such as accidents, traffic obstructions, wrong parking, etc.

He informed the app would also be able to help vehicle owners to store vehicle related documents and also set reminders for renewals.

With the installation of vehicle trackers, owners, or its family members can track the location of the vehicles, in times of accidents or theft, he added.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
