Day two of orange fest at Rüsoma vill

With an aim to promote rural tourism, the first orange festival kick started on January 10 at Rüsoma village, around 12 kms from Kohima town.

The festival was conceptualized by entrepreneur Thejakielie Zuyie and Kevitsu Doze who formed Bostimanu Entertainment with the view to give entertainment to rural areas.

The second day of the event witnessed competition on sweetest, heaviest and biggest orange where Vikhotüno was declared as the winner in biggest orange category, Kelhoulezo in heaviest category and Meguosano’s orange emerged as the sweetest orange.

Thejakielie Zuyie and Kevitsu Doze informed that they were overwhelmed with the response of the people, the farmers and villagers stating that it envisages to organize the event in bigger way in future.

The duo also informed that they look for any village that has market potentials to organize the same, to promote the village and the products as well.
