DBBC celebrates silver jubilee, thanksgiving

Dimapur Bengali Baptist Church (DBBC), Nagagaon Colony celebrated its silver jubilee and a thanks giving programme under the theme “Thy faithfulness is unto all generation” on April 6 and 7 respectively. 

A press release from DBBC silver jubilee committee convenor, Ratan Deb stated that Rev. Andrew Semp, director of Nagaland Mission Movement (NMM) and Rev Phushito Chishi, mission promoter WSBAK were guest speakers for the programme.
Rev. Andrew Semp in his message reminded the congregation that it was a time to look back and thank God for the blessings and to seek forgiveness. He encouraged the Church to remain faithful to God so that blessings could pass on to the next generations. 
At the thanks giving service, Rev Phushito Chishi, as speaker shared that thanksgiving should overflow, and it must be expressed and this was demanded by the Lord. He pronounced blessing prayer upon all members of the Church, and past and present leaders.
BB Sen, chairman souvenir committee shared a history of the Church.  
Earlier, in the programme led by DBCC pastor, Rev. Dulal Sarkar, an invocation prayer was said by Manoj Nath and the souvenir released by Rev. Kamal Dutta, former pastor of DBBC. Rev. Andrew Semp read a passage from the Bible and unveiled the silver jubilee monolith. 
Anil Saha, Jubilee treasurer read from the scripture and Sunday school children presented a choreographed presentation. A vote of thanks was delivered by jubilee convenor Ratan Deb, and a welcome song presented by the jubilee choir. Rev Dilip Singh said the benediction.
