DBCK celebrates 3rd graduation day

Don Bosco College (DBC), Kohima celebrated its 3rd graduation day ceremony on November 7 via google meet online platform, with Kohima Village Council (KVC) chairman, Dr. Neiphi Kire as special invitee. 

A press release by DBC Kohima stated that, Dr. Neiphi Kire congratulated the Bosconian 2020 graduates and urged them to work hard and to pursue any higher degree or examination with self interest. Highlighting on the rising unemployment and less governmental job opportunities, he encouraged the graduates to look beyond government jobs and pursue avenues in vocation and entrepreneurship. Dr. Neiphi Kire also expressed his happiness that Nagaland was now a state which has several colleges providing quality education. 
Earlier, principal, DBCK, Fr. Dr. P. Suresh gave the welcome address, while assistant professor Kezienuo gave the graduation report. Representing the graduates, Vilaneinuo Agnes Tsiekha, former general secretary, Students’ Forum of the college gave a valedictory speech, while vote of thanks was proposed by asst. professor, DBCK, Dr. Adenuo S. Luikham. Programme started with a prayer by Fr. T.P. James principal, DBHSS, and was chaired by Zayieviu Kielienyu, BA 5th semester DBCK. Altogether there were 166 students from 5 departments graduated as the third batch from DBCK. Short congratulatory speeches were given by all five departmental heads and a special number by Bosco Music Club. Students were awarded with certificates and college memento on October 28 at the college premises.
