DCs inform on COVID-19 related issues

Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Tuensang, Kiphire and Kohima have issued notifications with regard to COVID-19 related issues. 

DC Tuensang informs: DC Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has issued an order that in view of the increase in number of COVID-19 cases in the neighbouring district of Mon and as measures to check inflow of unregulated traffic, entry into Tuensang via Taithung nula is hereby allowed only for procurement of essential goods and for medical emergencies under the following conditions: Entry for procurement of essential goods and commodities shall be allowed only on Monday to Thursday between 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. All such entries shall be permitted only on the production of valid travel permits issued by competent authority; For medical emergencies entry shall be allowed any day /time of the week. However, all such entries shall be allowed only on the production of valid travel permits issued by competent authority and necessary medical papers; all travellers are to maintain social distancing, wearing mask and comply to after health safety measures /precautions issued by the Government from time to time in view of COVID-19 pandemic. 

These precautionary measures shall come into force with immediate effect from the date of issue of this order. 

DC Kiphire on food charges at QCs: In pursuance to the state government August 4 SOP, the DTF Kiphire has decided the following guidelines in all the quarantine centers in the district with effect from August 18.

All quarantinees shall pay for their mess expenses/fees which have been fixed at Rs.370/- per head per day. The mess shall be inclusive of lunch, afternoon refreshment and dinner; all advance payment for seven days shall be made to the control room (DC office) by parents/guardians at the time of depositing the bedding/toiletries for the quarantines; any returnees/ patient discharged from the quarantine centres /COVID care centres/COVID-19 Hospital for the home quarantine shall arrange their own transportation to go home.

DC Kohima on sealed areas: In view of the detection of COVID-19 cases, DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, has demarcated several locations as “Sealed Area” in Kohima Village (P-Khel), Lower Kenuozou, Merhulietsa (Para Medical), Officer’s Hill and Upper Agri Colony, in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and for necessary contact tracing.

All movement of person/vehicles within the defined “Sealed Area” is strictly restricted/prohibited with immediate effect.
