DDCF new office bearers; adopts three-point resolution

Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) held its general meeting on August 24 and held thorough deliberations, wherein the house has unanimously passed a three-point resolution. 

A press release from DDCF president, Yibemo Kikon and general secretary, Richard Haolai stated that, house resolved to endorse the stand of Ao Senden, CNTC and Tenyimia People Organisation on the need for a separate apex body for the tribes of Nagaland. Secondly, it resolved that office bearers and executive members shall visit the District Hospital and other public service centres under Dimapur district. Thirdly, house resolved to reaffirm the stand of various civil societies and communities of Dimapur against shifting of DC office, Dimapur to Chümoukedima village on June 4, 2015. 

DDCF also approved members as office bearers for the tenure of 2019-22, nominated by search committee set up for the purpose on June 28, 2019 during its executive meeting. The new team is led by Yibemo Kikon as president, general secretary Richard Haolai along with three others. House also empowered the new team to appoint one more vice president and an information/press secretary.
