Reacting to an appeal made by Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF), the Dimapur District GB Association (DDGBA) has clarified that it was governing the district GBs as per the DDGBA constitution.

But unfortunately, the DDGBA in a statement by its president, Longer Jamir, vice president Kiasao Jami and secretary A. Angami claimed that another group of GBs led by Khehovi Chophy elected themselves as office bearers by defying the rules and norms of the constitution.

Further to their disappointment, the association claimed that the NGBF has openly come out in support of the latter. In this regard, DDGBA has reminded the NGBF to go through the constitution that guides the office of the association (Article 14 of DDGBA constitution).

The DDGBA claimed that few GBs at the district have violated and disregarded the constitution of DDGBA by choosing the wrong way.

The association also stated that it was unfortunate that, NGBF has compromised on the DDGBA constitution and on its own constitution.

DDGBA therefore appealed to the group led by Khehovi Chophy and the NGBF to follow the constitution in the greater interest of the association and the public in general. The association also appealed to all the GBs to uphold the truth and remain vigilant of any individuals with vested interest and abide by the rules that govern the association.

DDGBA further affirmed to stand by the truth and support any GB who act with righteousness and truthfulness.
