DDGIF deliberates on RIIN

Prominent leaders from Gorkha indigenous inhabitants of Dimapur held a second meeting on July 3, at Gorkha cultural hall, Nepali Goan Dimapur. 

A press release from DDGIF convenor Pushpa Raj Sharma stated that during the meeting, house deliberated upon the prevailing issues pertaining to the state government notification regarding Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN). 

The house unanimously decided to form a platform with its nomenclature as “Dimapur District Gorkha Indigenous Forum (DDGIF)” to safeguard, unite and strengthen the interest of Gorkha indigenous of Dimapur district. 

The house elected Pushpa Raj Sharma as convenor, Dipak Lama as convenor along with nine other member secretary who will be leading DDGIF (adhoc). 

It was also stated that the new team of office bearers would be elected/selected in the general meeting of Gorkha indigenous inhabitants of Dimapur district which has been convened on July 7, 2 p.m at circuit house, Dimapur. 

All Gorkha indigenous inhabitants residing under Dimapur district including Medziphema, Chumukedima area, Niuland area, Purana Bazar area, Naharbari area, Kushiabil area, Toluvi area, Padan Pokhuri, Doarogapathar 3rd mile, Singrijan, Snagtamtila, Kashiram, Lingrijan and all town areas have been requested to attend the meeting.
