December Fest in Dimapur culminates

 In a high note, second edition December Fest culminated Tuesday, at DDSC, Dimapur.

This year cleanest colony in big colony category was bagged by Kevijau Colony, whereas Notun Bosti Colony and Imkonglenden Colony took second and third positions. In small colony category winner was Hill View Colony while Lakeview Colony and Middle Point Colony bagged second and third positions respectively. Winner of the Santa Claus competition was bagged by Bur from Imkonglenden Colony.

In open category art competition on the theme of “Love” winner was Imkong Imchen, whereas Christopher Aloysius Hart, Tunavi Achumi, Imnamongla and Joseph Vero took second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.

In penalty shot out women category, Forest Colony was the winner with Lake View Colony in second place. Best goalkeeper went to Atula from Forest Colony.

In penalty shot out for men, winner was Ruboda while Juvenile Social Club bagged the second position and best goalkeeper went to Kevin Jamir from Juvenile Social Club.

Arm wrestling category winner was Akash Das and second position went to Abeto Sultan.

Photography competition winner was Benjongsangba, and runner up Yanger Imchen. In the bamboo stilt race competition winner was Pulie Konyak (Kevijau Colony) while

Khekaito (Sematila Colony) and Chuba Wangnao (Rio Colony) bagged the second and third positions respectively.

In the tug of war (men category) Zeliangrong Colony bagged first position whereas Lengrijan Colony and NST Colony bagged second and third positions respectively. In tug of war (women category) Kyong Colony, Imkonglenden Colony and Ura Villa Colony bagged first, second and third positions respectively.

At the programme, invocation prayer was offered by pastor Covenant Baptist Church Yabang Longkumer, musical presentation by Abdon Mech, Meribeni Patton and symphonic peers Bovito Swu. Christmas message was delivered by DABA associate pastor Imna Toshi, dance presentation by Trionix Dance Studio. Vote of thanks was delivered by Bambi Kevichusa and prayer was offered by Holy Cross, parish priest Reverend Fr PJ Thomas.

The two-day fest was organized by The Better Dimapur team in collaboration with Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation (DUCCF), GB Union Dimapur (GBUD), Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) and Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU).
