Delhi Naga citizens assist departure of returnees

 Delhi Naga citizens assisted in the departure of returnees from the super express special train-the Delhi-Dimapur Shramik Special provided by the Delhi Division of the NFR Indian Railways, which had brought back 582 passengers on June 16 morning to Dimapur, covering a distance of 2147 kilometers from Delhi to Dimapur.

A press release from Delhi Eastern Naga Students Union (DENSU) president Yangtikhum Sangtam and general secretary, Metba K. Phom stated that, the journey was made possible with the involvement of officials and staff of Nagaland House Delhi, elders of Naga community in Delhi, the DAAT COVID Relief Committee, various Naga student bodies and individuals. Release also stated that Delhi Sikh Gurudwara managing committee provided lunch for the entire community on the day of the journey. Naga elders in Delhi also arranged food hampers for the journey, while Delhi government, Delhi Police, NDMC and DDA facilitated the medical screening and identification of the passengers and also provided packed dinner. Railway Protection Force provided security in the train while the government Railway Police of Lucknow and Patna division ensured adequate security arrangement within its jurisdiction.
