DEO Longleng organises seminar for students
Participants and teachers of various schools with DEO Longleng, Watisangla during the one day science seminar at EBRC hall Longleng.

One day district level science seminar-cum- competition organized by District Education Officer (DEO) Longleng on the topic “periodic table of Chemical elements impact on human welfare” was held at EBRC hall Longleng on August 20. 

13 schools both government and private under Longleng district participated in the seminar. 

While highlighting at the seminar “The year of 150th Anniversary of the periodic Table” District Education Officer (DEO) Longleng, B. Watisangla Aier stressed on various elements found in nature and how it has impacted upon the humankind over the years. 

She challenged the students in particular to take this seminar as an opportunity to explore the vast elements and it’s uses in day to day life. 

She also encouraged the students and teachers to overcome life’s hurdles by exhibiting strong commitment to the given task so as to make the earth a better place to live. 

At the competition, among the school students, Shamakok Mission School Longleng emerged as the winner, Phom Lempong School finished in second position, Government High School Nyengching Longleng and Christian School Tamlu secured the third position. 

The panel of judges during the competition were Dr.Lily, SMS KVK Longleng and Imkongyanger, Asstt. professor Yingli College Longleng. 

Earlier the programme was chaired by Chingdam Mukho, graduate teacher Longleng.
