The department of Treasuries and Accounts, Nagaland bid farewell to its director, Daso Paphino and assistant director, Neivicha Angami on August 31 at the DTA Conference hall, Kohima.

A DIPR report said that on behalf of the department, principal director, K. Tiayanger Tzudir said that the personal efforts put in by these two officers had helped improve the department and that their contribution would always be remembered.

In his farewell speech, Daso Paphino said that the generosity and the kindness of the people of the state had inspired him to give his best to his work. He told his colleagues to never miss an opportunity to travel and meet the people in their district offices. This is where they should draw their strength and aspiration to do better, he opined. He further added that it was important to play their role responsibly and with great care and commitment however small their role may be in the department. He also said that one could not work in isolation, and if there was anything that one wanted to achieve it could only be done by working together as a team.

The program was chaired by the director of Treasuries and Accounts, R.N Yanthan and words of acknowledgement were given by jt. director, Khevito Sema.
