Citizens of Dimapur can finally heave a sigh of relief as much-awaited Dhansiri Bridge at Nagarjan (Kuda) and Chathe Bridge at Diphupar near CIHSR are all set to be inaugurated on December 21, 2020.

It may be mentioned that the Chathe bridge at Diphupar collapsed on July 11, 2017, claiming four lives and critically injuring five others, while the British-era bridge at Nagarjan (Kuda) had to be closed for months after crack developed in July 2017 and since then the bridge has been restricted to light vehicles only.

According to sources, the two bridges would be inaugurated by state deputy chief minister, Y Patton, who is also holds roads and bridges portfolio.
