DHS Kiphire training on immunization handbook

District health society (DHS) Kiphire organised two-day training on immunization handbook for medical officer and one-day training on introduction of rotavirus vaccine for medical officer and health workers at District Hospital conference hall from June 17 to 19 at Kiphire. 

A press release from CMO office, district media officer (NHM) Kiphire stated that, training was presented by district ToTs. The resource person of the training was headed by district immunization officer (UIP/RCH) Dr. Pewezo Khalo, Dr. Holiba Annar MO (Sitimi PHC) and Dr. Keviyani MO (HWC Seyochung). The state monitoring team was assisted and monitored by Dr. Longri Kichu UNICEF state consultant.
Medical officers and health workers were trained on capacity building on routine immunization, introduction of rotavirus vaccine in the universal immunization programme, cold chain and logistic management etc. Group discussions, role plays, and exercise on RI micro-planning were presented by the health workers. Roles of IPC during session sites and media handling were also highlighted.
        DIO delivered welcome address. Medical doctors from health & wellness centres; primary health care, ANMs, GNMs, community health officers, district programme manager, block programme manager, block ASHA co-ordinator, vaccine cold chain manager and IEC personnel attended the programme.
