DICCI commissions 8 LPG tankers for Nagaland

The Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) commissioned eight Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tankers for Nagaland entrepreneurs to operate for the Indian Oil Cooperation. The trucks were received in Guwahati on April 13 in the presence of DICCI state coordinator, K Kathi Chishi.

Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry currently has about 150 members in the North Eastern (NE) states and has been already assisting beneficiaries all over the region under the Stand up India scheme.

The scheme is implemented in partnership with the Indian Oil Cooperation Limited (IOCL), and Bharat Petroleum Cooperation Limited by means of providing LPG tankers to scheduled tribe and scheduled caste candidates. So far all beneficiaries from the NE have been selected by the Indian Oil Cooperation Limited with Nagaland expected have the highest number of beneficiaries at 57. It may be mentioned that Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry inaugurated its North East office in Guwahati on October 13, 2018 and officially initiated a Nagaland chapter with K Kathi Chishi as state coordinator. 

Its Nagaland chapter is the first chapter to be inaugurated in North East India.
