Diesel price cut, petrol unchanged

State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) decreased diesel prices in the range of 19-21 paise across the four metropolitan cities on Saturday, but prices of petrol remained unchanged.According to IOCL website, the price of diesel in the national capital Delhi was revised to Rs. 71.82 per litre from Rs. 72.02 per litre while petrol price remained unchanged at Rs.81.14 per litre.

After Saturday’s rate revision, diesel price in Dimapur was lowered to Rs.77.70 from Rs.77.90 per litre while in Kohima diesel price was decreased to Rs.78.42 from Rs. 78.62 per litre. A litre of petrol in Dimapur and Kohima stood at Rs.86.46 and Rs.87.36 respectively.

State-run OMCs currently review the petrol and diesel prices on a daily basis, and implement any revisions at fuel stations with effect from 6 a.m.
