Dimapur-based college students back ANCSU

 Student bodies of nine Dimapur-based colleges on Saturday, extended their “unflinching support” to the All Nagaland College Students’ Union(ANCSU)in their fight for justice against alleged misappropriation of scholarship by the Directorate of Technical Education. 

Stating this through a joint press statement, the student bodies of nine Dimapur-based colleges also strongly condemned the directorate of technical education for allegedly misappropriating the scholarship fund amounting to crores of rupees.

Further, they questioned the silence of the minister higher &technical education on the issue, which they said displayed the minister’s negligence for students’ welfare. The signatories of student bodies of Dimapur-based colleges have also appealed to the state government to seriously recognize the issue and take necessary action without delay. They have affirmed their resolve to fight for students’ rights if the government failed to meet the demands of ANCSU. 

The signatories included Manshen K, president Sakus Mission College; Boto Y Swu, general secretary City College of Arts & Commerce; Anato G Zhimo, president JN Aier College; L Hotovi Sumi, president Yemhi Memorial College; Yeka Awomi, vice president Cornerstone College; Lelimthong P Yimchunger, president Mount Mary College; Mercy A Konyak, president Pranabananda Women’s College; Viketo Sumi, general secretary Viketo Sumi and Gamalel Nazary, general secretary Salt Christian College.
