Dimapur district administration visits flood affected Niu Colony

Around 120 houses at Niu Colony, Burma Camp were flooded due to overnight rain on September 1, when the Lengri River-Assam/Nagaland border and Niu/Vety drainage overflowed.

In a press release Niu Colony Council chairman, Tukuka. H. Awomi, general secretary, Inato. N. Swu and GB, Hozkha. K. Awomi stated that, the district administration led by DC Rajesh Soundararajan came along with the disaster management team and surveyed the affected parts. 
Beside, the 5th Assam Rifle unit led by Ajay Sharma also came and surveyed the affected areas and helped the affected people. Advisor of Power, Tovihoto Ayemi also came to take stoke of the situation and extended assistance to the affected families.
