Dimapur monthly district health review meeting

Monthly Dimapur district health review meeting for October was held at CMO’s conference hall Dimapur on October 15.

A press release from Dimapur CMO office stated that, during the meeting Dr. Antoly Suu, deputy chief medical officer as chairperson welcomed the new chief medical officer Dr. T. Panjung Sangtam and the new district TB officer Dr. Benchilo.
Monthly block health services performance was presented by Dr. Avika, MO (AYUSH) for Niuland block. During the presentation various areas for improvement and challenges faced by the block were discussed. Dr. Sangtam suggested that the district will resolve some gaps internally for the smooth function and implementation of the health care delivery system.
Dr. Antoly informed the medical staff to maintain their service books without which the accountant general will not entertain the MCP. Dr. Imtiwabong , DVBDO (NVBDCP) was given the in-charge to assist in this matter. She further informed the members to collect the new IEC materials. 
Dr. T. Pangjung Sangtam urged medical staff to be in their place of posting so that the performance will not be affected. Dimapur district being a favourable place of posting, he said there should be no excuse for absenteeism or irregularity from his staff. He stressed on the importance of OPD as being one of the most important indicators of the health unit performance and therefore urged the MOs to be regular and sincere in performing their duties. He further advised the medical officers to routinely supervise and monitor the health units under their respective jurisdiction. 
Other information from various branches of the department such as, medical superintendent office, immunization, DAPCU and NHP were shared during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Dr. Kheshito Zhimo, medical superintendent and staff under CMO from all the blocks, DPMU, BPMU, NHP and DAPCU.
