Dimapur traffic regulation on I-Day

As part of the security arrangement on the occasion of the 72nd Independence Day celebration at DDSC Stadium on August 15, 2018, the Dimapur Traffic Police has notified enforcing of certain traffic regulations.

In a press release, the commissioner of police stated that vehicles with Car Pass ‘Z’ (Red) would be allowed entry inside the DDSC Stadium and Car Pass ‘Y’ (Green) would be allowed entry inside Tragopan point in towards DDSC Stadium. 

New-Field Check Gate would be completely sealed off and no entry of vehicles would be allowed through the inter-state check-gate from 7am till the end of the programme. 

Entry from the Tragopan Point would be sealed off completely and entry allowed only for vehicles with car passes. 

Road stretch from City Tower to Tragopan Point would be a no-entry zone for vehicles other than those with Car Pass and traffic would be directed towards Plaza Point from City Tower and towards Eros Lane from Tragopan Point. 

Plying of vehicles from Khermahal Point towards Anwar Hussain Road and vice-versa would not be allowed. The above arrangement shall be effective from 7am till the completion of the function. 

All those issued with Car Pass have been advised to display the same to avoid any inconveniences. 

DC Dimapur informs

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel, has informed all heads of departments/offices under Dimapur district that attendance at the Independence Day function would be mandatory. 

Attendance of all departmental officers and staffs of Dimapur district would be taken at DDSC stadium at 9am and 4pm on August 15. 

DC also informed that the attendance sheet should be handed over to ADC, Dimapur. 

DC has therefore directed all heads of departments to inform their officers and staffs to attend the function accordingly. Further, all markers and shops are to remain closed till 12 noon on August 15.
