As part of the Directorate of IT and Communications (DITC) progressive initiatives, Ramietech Solutions, an IT company based in Kohima, conducted hands-on computer and IT skills training in five districts that include Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Tuensang and Mon at select government higher secondary schools (GHSS).

This programme titled “hands on skill training to students on IT/ITeS trade” is aimed at equipping higher secondary students with the requisite computer knowledge and skills which have become compulsory in today’s competitive job markets and also to inspire students to actively pursue a career in computer technology.

Students at the schools were imparted practical training in computer fundamentals such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and also given hands-on training in basic website development and design using HTML (standard computer language used for creating websites).  The training sessions were marked with active interactions from the curious and interested students while the school authorities were also highly appreciative of the useful training sessions.

Textbooks specially prepared for this programme were handed out to all the students and teachers as a handy reference for the future.
