DMI SJGS celebrates 2nd annual day

 DIMAPUR: DMI St. Joseph Global School (SJGS) celebrated its 2nd annual day with Rev. Fr. Neisalhou Carolus Kuotsu as the chief guest, the vicar general, Diocese of Kohima, Abel Joseph Aloor, branch manager of South Indian Bank, as the guest of honour and Dr. Gnanadurai, vice chancellor of St. Joseph University as the special invitee on December 16. 

A press release from DMI SJGS stated that, Rev. Fr. Neisalhou Carolus Kuotsu, in his keynote addressed stressed that schools should draw upon the holistic development of each child. 

While expressing the every activity that the schools conduct must bring out the inherent potential of the child, he also noted that parents should take their role and mould their children at home. 

Abel Joseph Aloor said that every child should always strive for excellence in everything he/she does, while special invitee Dr. Gnanadurai said that failures were the stepping stones to success. 

Administrator Sr. Stella felicitated the chief guest while principal T. Backiyaraj felicitated the guest of honour Abel Joseph Aloor and Rev. Fr. Ratheesh felicitated the special invitee Dr. Gnanadurai.  Principal T. Backiyaraj presented the school annual report of the academic year 2019-20. School honoured the students who had secured academic excellence and hundred per cent attendance with shields and certificates.  

Students from KG to class IX presented cultural items ranging from dance, skit, songs, instrumental music to marital art. Class VI students put up traditional dance.

Students of class V put up a skit depicting ill-effects of use of excessive use of the mobile phones, while class IV students put up a skit based on the theme obedience to elders. Vote of thanks was given by class IX students followed by national anthem.
