Dimapur Molungyimsen Senso Telungjem (DMST) celebrated its golden jubilee on November 23, here at IMC Hall, Dimapur. 

Addressing the gathering as the guest speaker, chief secretary of Nagaland, Temjen Toy, stated that jubilee was not only a time of celebration, but also a time to retrospect and introspect for the betterment of the community in particular and society in general.

He further encouraged the gathering to have unity even under various conditions. Lamenting that Nagas have now lost unity and sense of brotherhood for each other, he asserted that it was time to sort out the factors responsible for disunity and be unified again as one. 

Referring to the Bible, Temjen briefed that without visions in life, one would perish and urged the gathering to have goals and vision and encouraged the gathering to have unity as everyone’s vision.  Also delivering a short speech at the celebration programme, IGP (Range) Nagaland, Limasünep Jamir, acknowledged members of Molungyimsen village for their humane deeds and sacrifices displayed towards entire Naga community. 

He also encouraged the gathering to continue to work hard towards betterment of the society and continue to uphold the sacrifices and hard work done by their fellow ancestors.  

Earlier, the programme was chaired by president, DMST, N Joseph Lemtur and secretary, DMST, Longdi Tzüdir and invocation offered by chairman, Dimapur Molungyimsen Fellowship, I Imti. 

Short speeches were also delivered by president, Ao Senso Telungjem Dimapur, L Wati Jamir, president, Jangpetkong Senso Telungjem Dimapur, Lanu Imchen, Chairman, Luyong Council, Shilulemba, Chairman, Molungyimsen Village Council, Purtongzük Tzüdir and Jubilee greetings delivered by retired ADGP, J Bendang. 

A special song by jubilee choir and an opening act by Limaangba Tzuüdir and P Tiamongba Aier as the in-charge, were some of the highlights of the jubilee celebration.
