Dimapur police Monday informed that only six-wheel goods-laden trucks bound for Kohima and elsewhere would be permitted to proceed from Chumoukedima Check gate till such time repair works on certain crucial stretches along NH-29 is fully restored. In a press release, Dimapur police PRO, however, informed that ten-wheel trucks bound for Kohima on emergency government duty would be permitted to proceed subject to prior permission from the commissioner of police office or deputy commissioner of police (traffic). PRO informed that the regulation was purely temporary subject to complete restorative work on NH-29.
