DNSU questions functioning of BSL-2 Lab

The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) while strongly supporting the assertion made by Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) on July 30 has questioned the functioning of BSL-2 Lab and delay of results.  

A press release by DNSU vice president, Sentimeren Pongen has questioned why has the BSL-2 Lab at CIHSR been rendered out of service. It also asked why the chemicals and reagents were not restocked immediately.
DNSU demanded to know why are the samples of more than 70 staff collected from GM office, NST Dimapur results being delayed from BSL-Lab at CIHSR Dimapur. It also questioned the reason why the results of commoners’ are being delayed which was collected on July 24, whereas, the VIP’s bodyguards and drivers results were given out which was later collected on July 26.  
DNSU has also raised question as to why the lives of the denizens of Dimapur put at the risk oand questioned whether there was only one technician.
The DNSU demanded for immediate response from the government within the stipulated time mentioned by the NCD, failing which, it warned to take to the matter to streets of Dimapur by itself. It further urged the government to immediately install the BSL-3 Lab at Dimapur District Hospital, if not; it said that the DNSU also will not remain silent unless such demands are met.
