DNSU to organise 2nd edition of B&K memorial awards

Diphupar Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) will be organizing the 2nd edition of B&K memorial awards on January 31, 5 p.m at Diphupar local ground in memory of the two martyrs late Bendangnunsang Longkumer and late Er. Khriesavizo Metha who had laid down  their lives for the cause of the Nagas on January 31, 2017 during the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) election imbroglio.  

A press release from Diphupar Naga Students’ Union  president N. Pitovi Achumi and general secretary Grizel A. Ngullie stated that, this award is being given to those individuals and groups as an acknowledgement of their contribution in various fields to the Naga society. This year, the award is being given for contribution in ten various fields such as literature, art, sports, music, humanitarian works, environment, entrepreneurship, academic excellence etc.
Diphupar Naga Students’ Union also clarified that, this award is not to be conceived or not to be reflected as an award for the best performance in a specific field. Some of the renowned artistes who will be featuring in this year’s edition includes Oren Mozhui, Tokaholi Chishi, Muno Shiu, Abdon Mech and others. 
Diphupar Naga Students’ Union  also requested each and every individual to come and be a part of this programme and to pay their respect to the two heroes who sacrificed their lives.
