Doctor on quarantine goes missing in Mnp

A doctor in Manipur went missing from the quarantine centre where he was put along with all the staff of a private hospital.
Police were searching for the missing doctor, Dr Ayub, consultant of Peace Hospital, Porompat in Imphal East district.
All the doctors, nurses and staff of the hospital were put on quarantine after COVID-19 surveillance team of the state government found out that the second patient of the virus was first treated at the hospital before he was tested positive.
Dr. Ayub was among the employees of the hospital on quarantine.
As per a written complaint lodged by the additional director of state medical directorate with the Imphal East district police, Dr Ayub was found missing from the centre since April 5.
While stating that his leaving the centre was a risk to the general public, the complaint requested the police to take immediate action to trace him down.
