DPDB Kiphire, SDPDB Tseminyu honour HSLC toppers

Felicitation programme for HSLC toppers was organized by DPDB Kiphire and SDPDB Tseminyu on June 12 and 11 respectively. 

DPDB Kiphire: Toppers of various schools under Kiphire district were felicitated by the Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) on June 12 at USBLA Retreat Centre. 

According to DIPR report, minister of Soil  and Water Conservation, Geology and Mining and chairman Kiphire DPDB, Kashiho Sangtam gave away certificates and incentives to all the toppers. In his short speech, he encouraged the students to have ambition to secure good position even in the near future. He also urged the parents to care for their children and bring them up to be better persons in the society as they were the leaders of the future. 

Arehintre Thuyo Lichungse Sangtam from Saramati Higher Secondary School secured 95 percent in Science, Longdiba Sangtam 95 percent in Mathematic from Loyala Higher Secondary Schoo and Thelemcha under Pungro Government Higher Secondary School secured the highest aggregate marks in the HSLC Examination 2019 under Government High School in Kiphire. 

SDPDB Tseminyu: Advisor V&AH and Women Resources, and chairman SDPDB Tseminyu, R. Khing lauded the HSLC 2019 toppers from the Rengma community and the best performing GHS Tesophenyu at the felicitation programme-cum-SDPDB meeting held at Tseminyu DB’s court building in ADC office compound Tseminyu on June 11.

Soben Lorin from Northfield School Kohima secured 6th position with subject topper in English; Apenlo Jasu from DBS Tseminyu secured 13th rank with subject topper in Foundation of IT, and Atyty Tep from BHSS Tseminyu secured 18th rank with subject topper in Maths. They were awarded certificate of merit with cash. 

SDEO Tseminyu, Yhunyule Kent gave power point presentation highlighting the activities under SDEO Tseminyu. Grant-in-aid for Christian School Tseminyu, put up by SDEO, was discussed in detail, and the board agreed to recommend it to the higher authority.

ADC Tseminyu, Nokchasashi Kichu as vice chairman SDPDB informed the concerned members to attend the inauguration programme for the new Tseminyu ADC office building to be held on June 21.
