DPDB meetings held in several districts

The district planning and development board (DPDB) meetings were conducted at respective headquarters of Zunheboto, Tuensang, Phek and Pughoboto in the month of July.
Zunheboto: In Zunheboto, the meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of vice chairman and deputy commissioner Zunheboto, Shanavas C, wherein felicitation programme for HSLC and HSSLC Toppers in the Zunheboto district was organised along with DPDB meeting on July 10.
According to DIPR report, the DC said that DPDB was not only felicitating the students but also to encourage them to have brighter career in future. The distinction for MIL (Sumi) in HSLC was awarded to Millento I Achumi of GHSS Zunheboto and Vitoli K Yeptho of GHSS Satakha was awarded for social science and environmental studies and Milen V of GHSS was awarded for HSSLC topper from the district 
Deputy commissioner requested all the members to be on station saying that being a government servant we should be loyal and serve the people so that our district will move ahead with the rest of the world.
Zunheboto electrical division gave power-point presentation on the activities carried out by the department. DC informed the members about the fish ban in the district which was still in force.
Tuensang: Tuensang meeting was held at conference hall of deputy commissioner’s office, Tuensang on July 10. Deputy commissioner, Tuensang, L. JamithungLotha welcomed the two new board members and introduced Superintendents of Police (SP) Tuensang, Bharat Markad and Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Tuensang, Vikhato Picka. Chairman urged the board members to participate in the meeting with new ideas and share their views and opinions with open-mindedness. The house also approved the renewal of Dolen Tangjam Society after thorough deliberation. Medical department has been entrusted to give the power point presentation in the next meeting.
Phek: DPDB meeting Phek was held on July 10 at conference hall, Phek. Yitachu MLA also spoke on the occasion and called upon the members to be attentive while serving as a prestigious government servant. He also appealed to the members to be attentive in station as it was their bounden duty for upliftment of the public. Deputy commissioner & DPDB Vice chairman Orenthung Lotha chaired the meeting and called upon the members to cooperate for betterment of the district.   Phek District Badminton Association president Kelhikha Kenyi also spoke on the occasioned regarding upcoming Nagaland Badminton tournament to be held at Pfutsero and called upon members for collective effort. Bridge over Kayotiriver near Thewati, which was washed away during monsoon period, was also discussed and the same was recommended to the higher authority for consideration. Art & Culture and DSO (Sports) departments were entrusted to present their department activities in the next meeting.
Pughoboto: Pughoboto Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) meeting was held under the chairman Y. Vikheho Swu, MLA at DB’s court hall on July 10.SDO (C), Tiayanger Jamir reviewed the last meeting and the chairman welcomed the new ADC, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi. Chairman called upon the PWD department to make a routine for the labourers in order to maintain roads particularly in the month of July and August. Swu further directed the engineers to provide labourers sector-wise for the management of the roads. He added that engineers should regularly visit the site where developments were being undertaken. The house also entrusted forest ranger to bring out a Pughoboto green belt or zone map for identification of potential reserved areas and give presentation on the same. Setting up of transformer (63 KV) in both the new ADC complex and new stadium was proposed to be forwarded to the concerned department. 
Longleng: Longleng meeting was held on July 6 under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner, Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam at DC’s conference hall. 
According to DIPR, the chairman informed the members about the field study visit of 16 secretariat assistant team to the district and urged the HoDs to extend their full cooperation and support to the team.
While proposing up-gradation of various medical centers in the district Dr. Meren DPO (RCH & UIP) invited the members to attend the World Population Day to be observed on July 11 in Longleng headquarter to disseminate its importance to the mass by the officers.
The board approved the proposal submitted by DC for organizing Officers’ Club of Longleng and constituted an eight member committee headed by ADC Longleng, Temsuwati as the chairman and EAC Longleng, Vitoka as member secretary. 
The board also recommended the proposal submitted by the Station Superintendent of NST Longleng for daily NST bus service from Longleng to Kohima. 
The ADC Tamlu, Chingak Konyak also informed the members regarding fixing of rates to compensate landowners for damaged to land and property during construction of a two lane road from Merangkong via Tamlu to Mon district.
