DPDB meetings in Dimapur, Peren

Monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Dimapur and Peren districts was held on Tuesday.

According to DIPR, at the meeting held in the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner office Dimapur, the board members deliberated on the need to repair the collapsed wall of Dimapur Government College, and decided to forward the matter to the department of Higher Education for necessary action. 

The members also discussed installation of a dialysis unit at District Hospital Dimapur, and for which they have resolved to write to the medical superintendent. 

With regard to upgrade Royal Academy at H.Khehoyi village Niuland Dimapur, the members recommended to the department responsible for consideration, basing on the verification report submitted by ADC Niuland.

On the agenda for registration of societies, the board after discussion decided to recommend the following Societies to the Home department: Mercy Society, Nagaland Poultry Forum, Bethel Home society, Trio Task society, Khermahal Area Business Welfare Association, Being Humane, Hmar Christian Fellowship, Seva Bharati Nagaland and Atou Welfare society.

As entrusted, Dy. Commissioner of Taxes Dimapur gave presentation on how VAT has been replaced by GST and various rules regulating GST. He informed the DDOs to contact training center located at Commissioner of Taxes office Dimapur for any queries. Executive Engineer Power and Urban Development officer were entrusted to present their departmental activities during the next DPDB meeting.

PEREN: DPDB Peren meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall, New DC Complex Peren under the chairmanship of vice chairman DPDB and DC, S. Tainiu. 

After vice chairman welcome address and introduction of new member, EAC Menlom Phom, various agendas were discussed. Agendas were opening of Yettrang academy, upgrading of Government Primary to High School, creation of SDAO office at Athibung and upgrading of CHC Jalukie to 50 bedded. 

With regard to CM relief fund, the DC told the board members that Peren district will have to cover Rs. 5,00,000 out of which she will contribute Rs. 2,00,000 and the remaining Rs 3,00,000 should come from various departments. Creation of SDAO office at Athibung and opening of Yettrang academy were referred to respective departments for status report in the next meeting. 

DFO Jalukie, Sentitula briefed about the importance of wildlife in the district and reminded the DPDB members on the standing order of ban on hunting in Peren district. LADP schemes for 6 Tening A/C and 7 A/C Peren for 2018-19 was also approved by the board members.
