DTDDF organizes workshop at SASRD

Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Technologies Display and Dissemination Facility (DTDDF), School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD) organised a one-day workshop on “Technologies of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) for the People of Nagaland” on September 1 at SASRD, Nagaland University (NU). 

A press release from DTDDF stated that, Dr. N.K. Patra, exercising authority of DTDDF gave details about the scientific research and societal activities of the DAE, and also of activities of the DTDDF, SASRD which was functioning in collaboration with BARC, Mumbai. 

He gave a brief introduction to BARC and domain of works such as nuclear technology, bio-medics, agriculture, food security, environment, health, etc. 

He also highlighted the technologies available with DTDDF. 

During the technical session, T. Senchumo Yanthan (DTDDF Staff) and Sashilia Ao (research scholar) demonstrated and displayed different technologies of the DTDDF. All participants were encouraged to mobilize the community and youth to start entrepreneurship ventures with BARC technologies. Interested scholars or people can contact DTDDF office at SASRD, NU for further details of different technologies to start their entrepreneurship ventures, the release stated. Altogether, 75 Post Graduate scholars participated in the workshop.
